The CRAHP Ride (Come Riding on A Higher Plane)

Some lucky Zen Riders partook in the first Sport Tourismo Ride, this past Labour Day weekend. It was an excellent excellent weekend. I, myself, was on the fence about going at all, but am very glad I did. Even then, my plan was to return Sunday, but I changed that to Monday instead. How could I pass up missing the next day??? Thanks to Dan The Man and Wonder for accomodating the extra roommate.

Gonzo and Duke put together a super weekend, with a divine mixture of excellent roads and scenic stops. I had brought my maps with me, as I normally like to follow our progress as we go, but I kept them stored away this time 'round. It was nice to just blindly follow each day, knowing full well that great roads were ahead, and that each stop would be interesting in some way.

We had an interesting collection of machines, 11 to be exact. We had at least one of each of the following brands: Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Harley-Davidson, Victory, BMW, Ducati! Crazy, eh?

The group chemistry was wonderful. The comraderie we shared over the weekend is what the Zen Riders strives to achieve. Though different people, with different interests, we all moved along together. I was proud to ride with the Zen Riders this weekend, and I'm sure everyone else felt the same way.

Read below a full report of the weekend by Gonzo, a description of the exact route by Duke, and images, images, images.

Stepping off the soap box,

Stylz
