I first met her in January 2000 at the International Motorcycle Super Show. She got a ride to the show with the folks at Kawasaki and of course at that time neither of us knew that one day shed be going home with me. Well to be quite honest I didnt think she was "all that" when we first met, but there was a certain something that I couldnt explain. As time went on our relationship blossomed and wouldnt you know it, we became somewhat of an item. Of course Im speaking of Daisy, she is a 1999 Kawasaki Drifter that was customized by Kawasaki to demonstrate that an Asian Cruiser can be radically customized and look incredible doing it!
So we met at the bike show, it was like a blind date. I knew that she was coming but all I had seen was a small black and white print out. You see, Daisy was donated to the B.A.D. Ride by Kawasaki to raise money for the Toronto Distress Centre. She was to be given to some lucky winner on May 28th 2000, I was merely supposed to keep her company until the ride, take her out and introduce her to the motorcycling public. You see I was a mere Zen Rider, whos purpose was to help promote the B.A.D. Ride, and escort the lovely Daisy to her functions.
